Who are we?

We are Selina Nwulu and Zofia Walczak, two multilingual writers who came together to start Soundboard  Magazine as a way to write more regularly on the subjects that inspire us and that we think deserve more discussion. Soundboard is a place for debate, reviews and creativity.  Our focus is on social issues and, in particular, the many weird and wonderful  creative responses to them.

Selina is a freelance writer, researcher and lover of all things creative. She has experience working for the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), the United Nations Development Fund for Women ( UNIFEM) and several NGOs abroad. As a feminist, she is a co-editor for Women’s Views on Views. She also writes regularly for For Folks Sake, the Rich Mix and Grumpy Young Women and dabbles in poetry and photography. Check out Selina’s  online portfolio.

Zofia is a freelance writer and researcher with a strong interest in  music, art, photography, film and environmental issues from a social perspective.  She has written and researched for BBC Mundo, the Ecologist, was Earth Editor at Amelia’s Magazine and also writes for the Rich Mix.  She has worked with  Legal Action for Women and CEAR (the Spanish Commission of Aid to Refugees), as well as volunteering for environmental organisations.  She also draws and takes photos.  Her blog, with links to her art, photos and previously published articles is zofiawalczak.wordpress.com.
